from tobacco than HIV AIDS, illegal drug use, alcohol use, motor
vehicle accidents, suicides and murders combined.
Nicotine is more addictive than

We
Offer Youth Free Help to Kick the Tobacco Habit
Join us. FREE classes are led by specially
trained instructors. We help young tobacco users
stop using cigarettes or other forms of tobacco. We
educate young tobacco users about tobacco laws, health
risks and financial realities of tobacco use.
Lee’s Summit CARES has two programs
available to help teens stop using tobacco. The first is
a tobacco intervention program which is designed
to educate teens about the health and cosmetic problems
associated with tobacco use. This program is designed to
be presented to any teenager using tobacco with the goal
of helping the teen come to the realization of the
importance of quitting tobacco. For those teenagers who
do decide to stop, the second program is a tobacco
cessation program. This program is a completely
volunteer program designed to support teenagers who want
to stop using tobacco. Both programs are presented by
facilitators who are specifically trained in these
tobacco programs. View our
brochure.
