Gina Tominia

Downtown Main Street

Gina Tominia

Gina was born in St. Louis but moved to Lee’s Summit when she was four years old.  She is proud to say that she was a Lee’s Summit schooled girl.  Gina attended Prairie View Elementary, Pleasant Lee Middle School and graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in 2001.  Although you may not believe it, Gina was once a very quiet girl.  This was all changed because of the wonderful teachers in the R-7 district and the extra-curricular activities she joined.

After high school Gina attended Northwest Missouri State University (once a bearcat, always a bearcat).  During her time at college she was actively involved with the college radio station, her sorority and spent her summers working with the incoming freshmen to the university.   She graduated in December 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Broadcasting and a minor in Public Relations.

Gina has been the Assistant Director for Downtown Lee’s Summit Main Street since July 2006.  At this job she is responsible for communications within the organization and planning special events in the downtown core.  Some of the events include Downtown Days, Farmer’s Market, Halloween Parade and Mayor’s Tree Lighting.

When Gina isn’t at work she loves to spend time with her family, fishing, relaxing at the lake or enjoying a Kansas City Royals game on a nice spring day.
